We had a double-wedding weekend for the second weekend in a row for our string quartet!
The first wedding was at a private residence in Franklin, TN. With perfect weather and the ceremony overlooking a lake, it was a beautiful wedding! The bride’s song selections were:
Officiant/Groom: Annie’s Song (John Denver)
Wedding Party and Bride: Canon in D (Pachelbel)
Recessional: Feather Theme (from “Forrest Gump”)
Per the bride’s request, we started the Feather Theme during the couple’s kiss, so that the song was at the right point when they started recessing. It turned out perfectly and became one of our most favorite recessionals to date!
The second wedding was at Ravenswood Mansion, in Brentwood, TN. It was another gorgeous day!
For prelude, we played sacred music, such as Goodness of God (Winans), What a Beautiful Name (Hillsong), Agnus Dei and hymns, such as In Christ Alone and It is Well. For the ceremony, the bride chose:
Friends’ Seating: Ode to Joy
Family Seating: Come Thou Fount
Wedding Party: Great is Thy Faithfulness
Bride: Gratitude (Brandon Lake)
Recessional: Wedding March (Mendelssohn)
We played hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s for cocktail hour, with a special request, “Where You Lead,” by Carole King.
Grateful for another great wedding weekend!
