Our string quartet was honored to be a part of two weddings Memorial Day Weekend.
The first wedding was held at Ravenswood Mansion, in Brentwood, TN. The rain held off for a beautiful ceremony on the front lawn, with cocktail hour around the side of the house. We worked with Amber Fleck, with Amber Marie Events. The bride picked all of her ceremony pieces along with all of the prelude and cocktail hour songs. Her selections were as follows:
Family/Wedding Party: Circles (Post Malone)
Bride: Canon in D/Enchanted (Pachelbel, Taylor Swift)
Recessional: Paper Rings (Taylor Swift)
Her prelude and cocktail hour included most of our Taylor Swift repertoire, along with Landslide and Dreams (Fleetwood Mac), Stargazing (Myles Smith), You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story), Cheerleader (Omi), Dancing Queen (ABBA), I’m a Believer (The Monkees) and many more!
Our second wedding of the weekend was held at a private residence in Murfreesboro, TN. The rain held off again for a gorgeous ceremony and cocktail hour. We worked with Macy and Riley with Joyful Events Co. who helped everything go very smoothly! For prelude the bride requested sacred and classical music, so we played selections like Agnus Dei, Goodness of God (CeCe Winans), Gratitude (Brandon Lake), Alleluia (Mozart), Entrance of the Queen of Sheba (Handel), etc. For the ceremony the bride chose:
Family Seating: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)
Wedding Party: Canon in D (Pachelbel)
Bride: Concerning Hobbits (From Lord of the Rings)
Congregational Hymn: In Christ Alone (Getty)
Recessional: Signed, Sealed, Delivered (Wonder)
Postlude: This Will Be (Nat King Cole)
For cocktail hour, the bride requested fun, sing a longs! We took that to heart and played classics such as Sweet Caroline, Don’t Stop Believin’, Dancing Queen, September, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, My Girl, How Sweet it Is, and more modern Love Story, You Belong with Me and so many more!
