Our string quartet was at the Country Music Hall of Fame for the second weekend in a row! This time, the ceremony was on the rooftop terrace and the cocktail hours was indoors (!) in the HCA Lobby. This time wedding was absolutely beautiful and went so smoothly, thanks to the coordination by Lauren Wallstedt, with Olive and Ivy Events. The musical selections were a combined effort by the bride and groom and were so fun! Their prelude choices included The Rainbow Connection, Slipping Through My Fingers, God Only Knows, Songbird, Somebody to Love, Wildest Dreams and others. For the ceremony we played:
Final song before seating: Just the Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Family and Wedding Party: This Must be the Place (Talking Heads)
Bridal Processional: So Easy (To Fall in Love) (Olivia Dean)
Recessional: About Time (Lizzo)
This couple hand-picked their cocktail hours pieces as well, which included:
Signed, Sealed, Delivered
L-O-V-E
This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)
Feathered Indians
Love Goes (Where My Rosemary Grows)
Viva La Vida
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
You’re My Best Friend
You’ve Got a Friend in Me
…and many more!
We added So Easy (To Fall in Love) by Olivia Dean to our repertoire for this wedding and it is a good one! We always enjoy playing new songs!
