A Double-Wedding Weekend!

It was a double-wedding weekend for our string quartet of College Grove Strings!

The first wedding was at The Venue at Birchwood, in Spring Hill, TN. We played for the ceremony in the picturesque chapel and cocktail hour out on the breezeway. We always love playing here, as the acoustics in the chapel are perfect for a string quartet! It was a beautiful ceremony!

The bride chose the ceremony songs as follows:

Family: Slipping Through My Fingers (ABBA)

Bridal Party: Your Song (Elton John)

Bride: Goodness of God (CeCe Winans)

Communion: The Blessing (Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes)

Recessional: Forever and Ever (Randy Travis)

For cocktail hour, we played a variety of 70’s classics as requested by the bride, including Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters and many more!

The second wedding was at the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame, in Nashville, TN. The ceremony took place on the rooftop courtyard and the rain held off, making for another beautiful ceremony! We worked with wedding coordinator, Christina Logan (Christina Logan Weddings and Events), on this one— she is always a joy to work with!

This bride chose the ceremony songs as follows:

Final Prelude Song: Young and Beautiful (Lana Del Ray)

Family/Bridal Party: Shallow (Lady Gaga)

Bride: Enchanted (Taylor Swift)

Recessional: Long Live (Taylor Swift)

We love seeing what pieces our brides choose for their ceremonies and always love adding new ones into our repertoire!
