Last Two October Weddings!

Updated: 7 days ago

Our string quartet had the honor of playing for two weddings this past weekend to wrap up a busy October wedding season.

We first played for a beautiful wedding and cocktail hour at one of our favorite venues, Mint Springs Farm, in Franklin, TN. The coordinator was Courtney Jacobs, whom we have grown very fond of working with! This bride chose all of her prelude pieces, which included: Home (Edward Sharp/ Magnetic Zeros), Married Life (Theme from "Up"),

A Thousand Years (sung by C. Perri), Gratitude (Brandon Lake), What a Beautiful Name (Hillsong) and Turning Page (Sleeping at Last).

The ceremony selections were:

Parents & Grandparents: Iris (GooGoo Dolls)

Wedding party: Video Games (Lana Del Rey)

Bride: Goodness of God (CeCe Winans)

Recessional: Unwritten (Natasha Bedingfield)

For cocktail hour the bride requested:

Can't Take My Eyes Off of You (Valli)

Marry You (Bruno Mars)

Tennessee Whiskey (Chris Stapleton)

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Bless the Broken Road (Rascal Flatts)

Dancing Queen (ABBA)

Feathered Indians (Tyler Childers)

Dreams (Fleetwood Mac)

Love Story (Taylor Swift)

The Best Love Song (T-Payne)

For the second wedding of the weekend, we played for a gorgeous wedding in Nashville, TN, at The Cordelle. This was a cozy, indoor wedding, where our string instruments sounded especially beautiful with the acoustics in the room!

This bride specified her prelude pieces as well, which included You are the Reason (Calum Scott), When You Say Nothing At All, Turning Page (Sleeping at Last), Circles (Post Malone), Hallelujah (Cohen), I’ll Be (Edwin McCain), Goodness of God (CeCe Winans) and The Blessing (Jobe & Carnes).

For the ceremony music she picked:

Family: Everything I Do (I Do it for You)

Wedding Party: Stargazing (Myles Smith)

Bride: Canon in D/I Get to Love You (Ruelle)

Recessional: On Top of the World (Imagine Dragons)

Postlude: Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Queen)

We added both Circles and Stargazing to our repertoire for this wedding and they both turned out beautifully!
